On August 10, 2016 at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported fire at the above noted location.

Fire at 7881 Eastview Road

On August 10, 2016 at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported fire at the above noted location. Units arrived at the scene and found thick black smoke and heavy flame coming from a building and several cars at the rear of the business. The fire was brought under control and subsequently extinguished. 

There were no civilian injuries however one firefighter was taken to hospital with a minor injury for precautionary measures.

The cause of the fire along with an estimate of damage is still under investigation. Guelph fire investigators will remain on scene.

In the area of Stevenson Street/Speedvale Avenue from 7:50 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. – 9 tickets issued

In the area of Kortright Road/Edinburgh Road from 8:30 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. – 9 tickets issue.

In the area of Watson Parkway North from 9 a.m. - 10:40 a.m. - 7 tickets issued.

The Guelph Police were involved in 226 incidents in this time frame. Incidents involve everything from traffic stops and accidental 911 calls to domestics and break and enters.
