Drug arrest
The Guelph Police Drug unit began an investigation into a man trafficking Cocaine in August of 2016. On Aug. 24, 2016 that investigation led to the arrest of this man on Christopher Court. A search subsequent to his arrest discovered a quantity of Cocaine and Marihuana.
A 23-year-old Guelph man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and three counts of breach of probation. He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with drive while under suspension and class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on Aug. 25, 2016.
Break and enter
On Aug. 24, 2016 at 7:15 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Dawson Road building to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered through an unlocked door sometime overnight and stole tools.

Assault
On Aug. 24, 2016 at 2:48 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a youth group home in the city to investigate the report of an assault. It is alleged that a male resident assaulted two female staff members after becoming angry that video game privileges had been terminated. Police arrested the youth at the home. Minor injuries are reported by the staff members.
A 14-year-old Guelph male has been charged with two counts of assault and breach of YCJA probation order. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on Aug. 25, 2016.

In the area of Stone Road East from 1:00 a.m. – 2:15 a.m. – 2 tickets issued.
In the area of Scottsdale Drive/Whispering Ridge Drive from 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – 5 tickets issued.
In the area of Woodlawn Road East from 8:35 a.m. – 10:35 a.m. – 5 tickets issued.
Stop sign enforcement on Ontario Street from 1:45 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – 4 tickets issued
