Guelph Police were involved in 202 incidents over the past 24 hours

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Disturbance downtown - arrest
On Jan. 23, 2019 at approximately 1:10 p.m., Guelph Police went to the VIA Station located on Carden Street for the report of a disturbance inside the building. Investigation determined that a male and female were arguing and that the female was breaching court imposed conditions. The female was arrested.

The 25-year-old Guelph female has been charged with breach probation and breach undertaking. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Theft from cars
On Jan. 23, 2019 the Guelph Police received three reports of theft from cars. The locations were Macdonell Street, Highview Place and Bristol Street.

This crime is easily avoidable. Please lock your cars and do not leave belongings visible. If you do become a victim of this crime you can report it through the Guelph Police online reporting portal.

Busy day on the roads
Over the past 24 hours, Guelph Police investigated six collisions. Weather conditions today are going to make for hazardous driving conditions. Remember to drive accordingly. Slow down!
