On May 8, video recording equipment captured a male forcing the parking garage door in a Quebec Street building and taking property. Police viewed the video and were able to identify the male.

Break and enter arrest

On May 8, video recording equipment captured a male forcing the parking garage door in a Quebec Street building and taking property. Police viewed the video and were able to identify the male. The male was then located when he was reported as a suspicious person in a Gordon Street building on the morning of May 10. He was arrested at that time and a search found him in possession of a number of items of stolen property.

The 22-year-old Guelph male is charged is total of 16 criminal charges including break and enter, possession of identity documents and breach of probation. He was held in custody to appear in bail court today. 

Stolen vehicles recovered

It was reported earlier in the week that a Nissan Titan truck and a Nissan Murano were stolen from the same drive on Cityview Drive. The following day the Murano was recovered by the GPS drug during an investigation and the Titan truck was also recovered yesterday in the parking garage at the Stone Road Mall.

On May 10, 2017 the Guelph Police Service responded to 223 calls for service.
