Guelph man accused of stealing booze

The following news release was issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

On Oct. 21, 2019 at approximately 7:43 p.m., a 58-year-old Guelph male was observed on video selecting and concealing multiple liquor bottles at a local liquor retail store located Speedvale Avenue before exiting the store without paying for the items.

On Oct. 22, 2019, the accused was located by police during an unrelated matter and arrested for the following charges: theft under $5,000 and breach probation.

He was further held at the Guelph Police Service pending a bail hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019.
