Traffic stop leads to drug charges for two Guelph men

On May 29, 2019, a traffic stop was conducted on Arthur Street after officers observed a man inside a car that was wanted on a warrant. Two men within the car were then investigated and subsequently arrested.

A 28-year-old Guelph man was arrested on a warrant for robbery, mischief under and attempt break and enter. A small quantity of crystal meth was also discovered on him and he was further charged with possess a controlled substance. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 38-year-old Guelph man was found to be in possession of brass knuckles as well as a small quantity of cocaine. He has been charged with possess a controlled substance and possession of a prohibited weapon. He will appear in court on July 9, 2019.
