Truck stolen from work site as crew was working nearby

Guelph police are investigating after a pickup was stolen from a construction site Thursday while crews were working.

Police were called approximately 3:40 p.m. to a site near Stevenson Street and Elizabeth Street. The caller advised a male was seen getting into the truck and driving north on Stevenson Street. The complainant’s cellphone, which had been inside the truck, was found in a parking lot a short distance away.

The truck was described as a white 2003 GMC Sierra. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 30, six-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a grey hoodie.
