In the last 24 hours, Guelph Police dealt with 219 calls for service

The following news was issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

On May 27, 2018, Guelph Police were called to the area of Cork Street in regard to a robbery. An unknown male had (allegedly) assaulted another male and tried to take his vehicle. The unknown male was unsuccessful in taking the vehicle and fled on foot.

Through investigation, Police learned of the identity of the unknown male. As a result, Chadwick Bard, a 28-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with robbery and two counts of breaching his Probation Order. Bard appeared in court on June 25, 2018.
