Guelph Police responded to 210 calls for service

The following news release was issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Theft from motor vehicle
Aug. 19, 2020, The Guelph Police Service responded to the report of a break and enter to a motor vehicle that was parked in an underground parking lot on Waterloo Avenue in the City of Guelph. The victim’s bank card was stolen from the vehicle and later used at a retail store on Gordon Street. Police were able to identify a suspect.

On Aug. 31, 2020 at approximately 11:20 a.m., the suspect was located by officers in downtown Guelph and placed under arrest.

A 36-year-old Guelph female has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and use of a credit card.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on Oct. 13, 2020.

The Guelph Police Service would like to remind the public to remove all valuables from your motor vehicle while parked, particularly overnight. Lock it or lose it!
