Two males have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into burglaries at downtown residential buildings.

Last Friday, approximately 3:30 a.m., a man and woman went to a building on Yarmouth Street where the woman was caught on video using tools to pry open the front door. Both went to the parking garage where they were observed trying car door handles and the woman was seen carrying several boxes before both left the building.

Both were identified from the security video. Approximately 11:30 p.m. Monday, the man was located downtown and arrested. He is charged with break and enter, possessing break-in instruments and breaching probation.

Also last Friday, approximately 2:10 a.m., the same woman had attended a building on Macdonell Street with a second woman and a man. Again she used tools to pry open the front door and allow all three entry to the building. The women attended the laundry room but were unable to get inside.

Again the parties were identified via security video. Just before noon Tuesday the male was located downtown and arrested. A 51-year-old Guelph man is charged with break and enter.

Police are still seeking the two involved women, who are believed to be responsible for several break-ins downtown.
