Two charged, separately, with failing to appear in court

Two Guelph men were arrested Wednesday and charged with failing to appear in court regarding completely separate allegations.

A 24-year-old was arrested in the downtown core shortly before 5 p.m. According to police, the accused was to appear before a judge on Jan. 20 to face charges including impaired driving, driving while suspended, novice driver with alcohol in his system, driving with an open liquor container, driving without insurance and driving with cannabis in open original packaging.

Police arrested a 58-year-old man shortly after 11 p.m. The man is accused of missing his July 4 court date on charges of mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with an undertaking.
