On June 15, 2018 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Guelph Police received a call about an erratic driver travelling on the Hanlon Expressway. Police received another call about the same driver as the vehicle was now driving on the train tracks in the area of Fife Road.
Police located the vehicle and the responsible driver. Shawn Welch, a 33-year-old Guelph male was charged with dangerous driving. Welch appeared in court on June 16, 2018.
