Vehicle stop in Rockwood leads police to over $2000 in cocaine

On Wednesday April 24, 2019, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a white passenger vehicle for a traffic infraction on Main Street in Rockwood, Ontario.

The driver failed to produce proof of insurance and was also found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, cocaine trafficking equipment and currency. Under $1000 in currency was seized as was over $2000 in cocaine.

As a result of the investigation, Michael Christopher Swaby, 41-years-old of Burlington was charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking (contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) and Driving without Insurance (contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act).

He was held for bail.
