Wanted man arrested, faces 17 charges

The accused was searched and officers found several credit and bank cards which had been reported stolen from the University of Guelph, and a substance believed to be methamphetamine

On Oct. 21, 2018 at approximately 11:34 p.m., Guelph Police observed a male on Carden Street who was currently wanted by our service for break and enter, theft under $5,000, and two counts of breaching his Probation Order.

The male was arrested and brought to the station where he was searched. As a result of the search, several credit and bank cards were located on the male which had been reported stolen from the University of Guelph. Also located on the male were other identity documents, a set of car keys, and a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

A 24-year-old Guelph male was further charged with five counts of unauthorized possession of a credit card, four counts of possession of identity documents, two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, five counts of breaching his Probation Order, and possession of a controlled substance. The male is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 22, 2018.
