Guelph Police responded to 213 calls for service

The following news release was issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Garage door opener used in break and enter
On Aug. 18, 2020, the Guelph Police Service responded to the report of a break and enter at a residential address on McElderry Road in the City of Guelph. Sometime during the late evening of Aug. 17, 2020 and early morning hours of Aug. 18, 2020, unknown person(s) gained entry to the homes garage by first breaking into the motor vehicle parked in the driveway. Once in the motor vehicle, thieves used the garage door opener to gain entry to the garage.

Stolen from the garage was a TREK Silque road bike with Vittoria Corsa wheels, black in colour with red graphics (serial number 1465PM3415), approximate value $8,000.
