Two arrested in separate incidents

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Incident at Stevenson/Eramosa
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Guelph Police began dealing with an incident involving an emotionally disturbed individual. For public safety, a large perimeter around Stevenson and Eramosa was set up, causing road closures. At approximately 4:30 a.m., police were able to resolve the situation peacefully. All roads were opened up and the individual received medical attention.

Arrested
On Oct. 22, 2019 at approximately 10:03 a.m., Police attended to the courthouse located on Wyndham Street and arrested a 34-year-old Guelph female on the strength of three separate warrants. She was transported back to the Guelph Police Service where she was further held for a bail hearing.

Arrested
On Oct. 22, 2019 at approximately 12:33 p.m., Police observed a black Giant bicycle turned over out front of a local business on Silvercreek Parkway North bearing a serial number that confirmed it had been reported stolen back in July of 2019.

Officers continued observation of the bicycle and at approximately 1:06 p.m., a 25-year-old Guelph male attended to the bicycle was observed riding out of the area. Police followed the male and subsequently stopped him and placed him under arrest for possession of stolen property. The accused male was transported to the Guelph Police station and later released on a Promise to Appear.
