On Saturday at 1:01 a.m., Guelph Police report a 38-year-old Guelph woman attended to a community centre located in Downtown Guelph and attempted to gain entry despite not being welcome. She then threatened to throw a brick if staff didn’t open the door. Ultimately she did cause damage to a window through banging on it repeatedly.

At 1:46 a.m. the woman turned herself in to the Guelph Police Headquarters and she was subsequently arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000.

On Sunday at 7:54 p.m., the loss prevention officer of a store located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Woolwich Street observed the same woman shoplift $1,267.44 worth of merchandise. The merchandise included clothing and beauty products. She was subsequently arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.

She will appear in court on April 16.
