A Guelph woman faces an assault charge after a dispute between two dog walkers Wednesday turned physical, Guelph police report.
Approximately 4:30 p.m. police were called to a park on Dovercliffe Road. A man reported he was involved in a verbal altercation with a woman over her dog’s behaviour while not leashed.
During the altercation the man was reportedly bit by the woman's dog. As he tried to distance himself the man was allegedly punched twice in the neck area and had his shirt ripped by the woman. He declined medical attention.
Responding officers located the woman and placed her under arrest. A 33-year-old is charged with assault.
