Woman tries to return nail gun she never paid for

A Guelph woman faces a fraud charge after attempting to ‘return’ an item she had not purchased.

Police were called just before noon Tuesday to a business on Dawson Road. A female had entered the store and selected a nail gun valued at more than $400 from a shelf. She presented the item to a cashier and attempted to return it for cash. Police were called and located the female just outside the store.

A 29-year-old Guelph female is charged with fraud under $5,000.
