A Woodstock male has been arrested in connection with the theft of six appliances from a south end condo building.

Earlier this month, the Guelph police were called to a condo building near Gordon Street and Clair Road East. A representative of the company that built the building advised five refrigerators and a stove had been removed from an underground parking lot. The appliances had been used in newly-constructed units while awaiting delivery of new appliances.

Investigation revealed a male had accessed the parking garage six times between November 23 and December 29, each time loading an appliance into a pickup truck and driving away with it. The total value of the stolen appliances is more than $11,000.

A 28-year-old Woodstock male was arrested Thursday. He is charged with six counts each of break and enter and theft under $5,000. He will appear in a Guelph court March 8.
