MINTO – Residents in Minto will get a Santa Claus experience right at their homes this year.

“Minto fire has been forced to adapt the presentation of our annual Christmas parades,” a press release says. “This year, to follow social distancing guidelines and discourage crowds, we will be bringing Santa Claus to you.”

Minto fire department will be escorting a Santa float down each street in Harriston, Clifford and Palmerston.

Our firefighters will be leading a Santa float down each street in all three towns to give children the  opportunity to see him from their own front lawns. We will be using the sirens to alert the children of  Santa’s impending arrival.

Parade nights will be:

  • Harriston on Sat. Nov, 21 at 6 p.m.

  • Clifford on Sat. Nov. 28 at 6 p.m.

  • Palmerston on Sat. Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.
