A rally is set for Elora Sunday as a response to repeal Bill 23, for people from Elora and Fergus to join.
Bill 23 is the More Homes Built Faster Act, the bill would allow land on the Greenbelt to be developed.
The Keep the Greenbelt Promise Rally will meet at the cenotaph parkette in Elora on Dec. 4 at 1 p.m.
“The protected land is not protected as Ford opens the land for his political donors to develop, in the name of more housing,” said in a press release from greenbeltpromise.ca.
The land within the municipal boundaries has been approved to deal with housing supply, said in the press release.
There are concerns over the farmland, ecosystems, heritage and conservation areas within the Greenbelt, said the release.
There will be rallies across Ontario on Saturday and Sunday.
