The Guelph Police Service is once again reminding the public not to leave running motor vehicles unattended, after two cars were stolen while warming up during a nine-hour period.

Police received a call shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday to attend a business at the intersection of Willow Road and Dawson Road. There they spoke to a male who said he left his grey 2011 Nissan Sentra running outside while he did laundry. When he came back outside his licence plates were on the ground and the car was gone.

The area was checked with no results.

Wednesday, at about 6:50 a.m., police received a call from an address on Eramosa Road near Speedvale Avenue East. The caller reported he left his silver 2006 Hyundai Accent running and when he went back outside it was gone.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Guelph Police at 519-824-1212, leave an anonymous tip for Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
