Guelph Police responded to 216 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Male Arrested For Numerous Charges
Some time overnight on April 21, 2020, an adult male pried open the front door of an apartment building located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road East and Woolwich Street in the City of Guelph. He gained access to the front lobby and then proceeded to the parking garage. There was no damage done to the building in this incident and it’s uncertain if anything was taken in the parking garage.

Further investigation revealed that the male was on an Undertaking with numerous conditions including to reside at a particular residence and be at that residence between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., and that during most of the month of May he not been abiding by his curfew, nor had he been residing at the residence.

On May 28, at 7:47 a.m., police located the male near the intersection of Delhi Street and Eramosa Road, and he was subsequently arrested.

A 24 year old Guelph male has been charged with:

  • Break And Enter With Intent
  • Fail To Comply With Undertaking x2
  • Breach Probation x3

He will appear in court on September 8.
