Knife recovered, murder charge laid in Guelph man's death outside Christmas party

On Sunday, December 18, 2016, members of the London Police Service responded to the Imperio Banquet Hall, 109 Falcon Street, for a report of a disturbance. 

Upon arrival they found 26-year-old Chad Robinson of Guelph, Ontario, unresponsive and suffering from a stab wound.  He was transported to hospital and died from his injuries. 

Charges of assault causing bodily harm were laid against four males in relation to an alleged assault on a second victim during the disturbance; that victim’s injuries are not life threatening.

Further investigation into the stabbing of Chad Robinson has resulted in additional charges against two of the males.

Miguel Chacon-Perez, 27, of London, has been charged with one count of second degree murder, contrary to section 231(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Irvin Alexis Aparicio Chicas, 26, of London, has been charged with one count of assault, contrary to section 266  of the Criminal Code of Canada

A knife has been recovered. Both accused are presently in custody and will make an appearance in court today.
