A Guelph man and woman face a number of charges after they were caught Saturday breaching court conditions by being together.

Guelph Police officers saw the pair leaving a Fife Road address together just after midnight on Saturday morning and pulled over their motor vehicle. Both were arrested for breaching their no-contact terms, and searches following the arrests revealed both were in possession of small amounts of crystal methamphetamine.

Police had attempted to arrest the same male two nights earlier for breaching his terms but he fled and was not located.

A 31-year-old Guelph male is charged with six counts of breaching a release order, two counts of escaping lawful custody and possession of a controlled substance. He was held in custody and will appear for a bail hearing on Wednesday.

A 22-year-old Guelph female is charged with breaching an undertaking and possession of a controlled substance. She will appear in a Guelph court May 7.
