A Guelph man has been arrested for spitting on a Guelph police officer two years ago.
On Sept. 29, 2020, police were patrolling in the area of Guelph Street and Drew Street when a man ran in front of the cruiser asking for assistance. Police say he was acting erratically and during the interaction allegedly spit in the face of one of the officers. The man was apprehended for his own safety and transported to hospital for treatment.
On Thursday he was located at his residence and arrested. A 36-year-old has been charged with assault police.
