Guelph police charged a man with impaired in the early morning Sunday after he reportedly returned to the scene of an accident he was involved in.
Around 2:30 a.m., an adult male collided with a parked motor vehicle while driving near the intersection of Clair Road West and Gordon Street, police say. He then fled the area on foot.
Police arrived on scene and at 2:46 a.m., the male returned to the area, making himself known to police. He was subsequently arrested.
A 29 year old Guelph male has been charged with impaired driving.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
