A 26-year-old North York man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the largest fentanyl seizure in Guelph Police’s history, made last fall.
A police news release explains the suspect was arrested by another police service and charged with drug offences there, before being transported to Guelph and charged with three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance here.
Following a seven-month investigation, last fall Guelph Police seized more than 100,000 doses of fentanyl and four firearms. Several individuals were arrested at the time, with others identified as persons of interest as the investigation continued.
The recent arrest is in relation to the subsequently identified individuals.
