Police locate vehicle stolen from Waterloo Region

The vehicle was located parked in front of a Guelph residence; two people face charges as a result

On Aug. 1, 2021, at 6:33 a.m., during proactive patrol police found a motor vehicle stolen out of Waterloo Region parked out front of a residence located near the intersection Delaware Avenue and Speedvale Avenue East in the City of Guelph. Further investigation revealed that an adult male and an adult female were in possession of the vehicle. The male also falsely identified himself when first speaking with officers. They were both subsequently arrested.

A 23-year-old Guelph female has been charged with:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000.

She will appear in court on Nov. 16.

A 34-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with:


  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000

  • Obstruct police

  • Breach probation x2

He was transported to Guelph Police Service station and held for a bail hearing.

He was subsequently released and will appear in court on Aug.17.
