On Jan. 10, 2020 members of the Guelph Police Service Tactical Unit were conducting routine patrol on Fife Road when they observed a male and female riding their bikes in the parking lot of a townhouse complex.
Officers observed that the male party was riding a mountain bike which matched the description of one that had been recently reported stolen.
Officers spoke to the male and through further investigation, it was discovered that he was on conditions not to be in the company of the female he was riding with.
As a result, the 27-year-old Guelph male was arrested for possession of stolen property and two counts of breach probation. He was taken to the Guelph Police Service station and subsequently released with a court date of Feb. 14, 2020.
