Sleeping woman injured after candle lights hair on fire

She received burns to her head, ear and upper shoulders

On March 4, 2019 at 7:19 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Harris Street residence with ambulance for the report of an injured female.

Investigation determined that a 25-year-old Guelph female had been sleeping with candles close to her sleeping area which caught her hair and sweater on fire. She received burns to her head, ear and upper shoulders. She was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
