Three charged after police seize purple fentanyl, crystal meth during drug bust

Two from Guelph, one from Kitchener face drug charges

In April of 2020 members of the Guelph Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Unit entered into a drug trafficking investigation.

On April 29 at 9:10 p.m., three adult males were arrested near the intersection of Willow Road and Silvercreek Parkway North in the City of Guelph. Two males from Guelph (ages 21 and 19) and a 23-year-old male from Kitchener were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking x2.

A search incident to arrest revealed:
    •    17 grams of crystal methamphetamine valued at approximately $800-$1,000
    •    2.88 grams of purple fentanyl valued at approximately $550
    •    A small amount of cash

Other charges laid include breach Youth Criminal Justice Act probation, fail to comply with undertaking, and stunt driving.

All three males were held in custody pending a bail hearing on April 30, 2020.
