On March 4, 2019 at 5:39 p.m., the Guelph Police went to the West End Recreation Centre to investigate a reported theft. An off duty Special Constable with Guelph Police had located three male youths (allegedly) stealing from the dressing rooms while teams were on the ice.
Two remained on scene while the third male ran off. That male was later identified and located.
All of the (allegedly) stolen cell phones and cash were recovered and the three 13-year-olds were turned over to their parents.
