Two guys accused of trying to rob a guy they know at a motel

Attempt robbery – two arrested

On Sept. 8, 2016 at 3:30 p.m., the Guelph Police were called to a motel in the north end of the city, where there was a report of an attempted robbery. 

Two males who were known to the victim brandished weapons and attempted to rob him for money.

Shortly after 5 p.m. the two suspects were arrested on Norwich Street.

A 17-year-old Guelph male has been charged with attempt robbery and weapons dangerous. 

A 22-year-old Guelph male has been charged with attempt robbery, utter threat, weapons dangerous, breach of probation and failing to comply with a weapons prohibition order. 

Both males were held in custody pending a bail hearing on September 9, 2016.
