Erin's new $12.8 million library enters phase two of construction

Completion is currently scheduled for spring 2025

ERIN ‒ Construction is well underway on Erin's new library.

In a report for the Information, Heritage and Seniors committee, construction and property manager Kevin Mulholland, said phase one of Erin's new library, located at the former grist mill in the Village of Erin, is now complete.

Divided into 10 smaller projects, phase one involved removing the old structure and debris from inside the four exterior stone walls as well as structurally supporting those stone walls in preparation for phase two of the construction project.

"The phase two contractor has now mobilized on site which includes securing the site with construction fencing, site signage, & setting up the site office," said Mulholland, in the report. "Some selective concrete removals have begun."

With completion currently scheduled for spring 2025, the project's total cost is $12.8 million
